birthday 90 happens once

Tinyhouse -  by comparison, ours in northern Virginia is very spacious, although not by 21st Century (as compared with half a century ago) measures. To my mother's 21st birthday in 1944, No other child came . 2013 on September 7th, God willing, Mama Rachel will be 90. For her 22nd, my brother Elmer attended (he was born September 2 scarcely one year after my August birth) and so on ... When I was sixteen, the 29th of September my mother was barely 36 and bore her eighth living baby. Two years later I was a freshman in University. In the meantime, ten shared one bathroom and the house my father had built new around the time of my second brother, born before my third birthday, measured about 28' by 32' - one level, no brick veneer.

Fast forward to 2013 and from the house we bought in 1984, our first, look across the street where, doing back fill, a house built just as the economy plunged over the cliff has perhaps three or four times the space.

On the other hand, our team of fifteen just returned from my own tenth church mission trip to Kenya, first was 1980.
